This policy covers how vooLife treats personal information that vooLife collects and receives on the site. Your privacy is of great concern to us so please take a minute to read this document so that you better understand our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information relating to your use of the vooLife.com Web Site and Service. About Voolife.com
Voolife is an online social networking community that connects people through networks of friends for dating or making new friends. To accomplish this, users create their own profiles which are shown to the people in their personal network. A personal network consists of a user's friends as well as the extended group of people that a user is connected to via chains of mutual friends. To fulfill the purpose of this site, some personal information we ask for is displayed to people within these personal networks.
Information collected by Voolife
Voolife collects user-submitted personal information when you register, when you use vooLife and when you visit vooLife pages. This information includes name, e-mail address, and birthdate, in order to verify new accounts and send notifications regarding the Service. We also collect additional data that is included in Member profiles, including without limitation: occupation, interests, background, gender, and location. This additional data may be available to other Members and/or the general public for viewing. We also collect nonpersonally identifiable information, including IP address and browser type. We do not collect or maintain information on the Service from users whom we actually know to be under 13 years of age, and no part of our Service is structured to attract anyone under 13.
Use of information
Profile information and photos are displayed to people who view your profile. In order to provide useful information about social networks, we may use your profile information and photos on the vooLife website and when we send emails. Additionally, when you send email invitations to join vooLife, we may use your email address. When you click to view a member's profile, we show that member that you clicked to view their profile.
To facilitate the Service, vooLife displays to other Members and visitors some of the personal information that we request. VooLife displays Member profile information, profile photo, and username, to enable us to personalize Members' VooLife.com experience and to enable them to invite new friends and locate other Members with similar interests. Your full name and email address will never be displayed to other Members. However, we use your e-mail address to send notifications relating to VooLife.com, including for example, to confirm when one Member has requested to add you as a friend, to provide notice that a Member has sent you a mail, and to invite new friends to join VooLife.com. You may choose to stop receiving e-mail notifications from VooLife at any time by modifying your personal settings.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Voolife does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:
We provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with vooLife under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help vooLife communicate with you about offers from vooLife and our marketing partners. However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information.
We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims;
We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of vooLife's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.
We transfer information about you if vooLife is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, vooLife will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Cookies
vooLife may set and access vooLife cookies on your computer. vooLife lets other companies that show advertisements on some of our pages set and access their cookies on your computer. Other companies' use of their cookies is subject to their own privacy policies, not this one. Advertisers or other companies do not have access to vooLife's cookies.
Your Ability to Edit and Delete Your Account Information and Preferences New categories of marketing communications may be added to the Marketing Preferences page from time to time. Users who visit this page can opt out of receiving future marketing communications from these new categories or they can unsubscribe by following instructions contained in the messages they receive.
We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the vooLife service, such as service announcements, administrative messages and the vooLife Newsletter, that are considered part of your vooLife account, without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them.
To delete your account, please send an e-mail message to support [at] voolife.com, subject: account deletion. Please include your full name, e-mail address in the body of the message.
Confidentiality and Security
We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.
We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect personal information about you.
All Member accounts are password-protected. We go to great lengths to protect the account information that you have provided us. Access to this information is limited to only the vooLife employees who need it in order to perform their job function, such as customer service representatives. However, please note that we do not guarantee account security. Hardware or software failure, unauthorized use, and other factors may lead to a security breach. Voolife may update this policy.
